The story behind the work
Formally trained, emotionally driven Kerrie Doolan makes paintings that are meant to be felt, not just seen.
Making work that feels like something
Kerrie Doolan creates original acrylic abstract works from her studio in Cordalba, Queensland paintings that are deliberately, unapologetically emotional. With a Degree in Arts (Scenic Design) and years spent as an Arts teacher with Education Queensland, she brings both formal training and a deep understanding of how colour and composition affect the people who live with art every day.
After relocating to the country and establishing her own studio, she returned to what she loves most: making work that feels like something. Ethereal, dreamlike, and richly textured, her pieces use high-quality materials sourced from Australian suppliers because the art you hang on your wall deserves to last.
Every painting arrives framed and ready to hang, with postage included in the price. Commissions are taken in limited numbers a maximum of three per month so each one receives the attention it deserves.
Three things that never change
These aren't principles written on a wall they're the decisions made every day in the studio.
Emotion first
Every piece starts with a feeling not a formula. Colour, texture, and movement are chosen to create a response in the viewer, not to match a trend.
Quality without compromise
Australian-sourced materials, professional framing, and careful packaging the work that reaches your home is held to the same standard as work heading to a gallery.
Personal attention
Three commissions per month full stop. That limit exists because every person who asks for a commissioned work deserves a direct conversation, not a production line.
